Welcome to the Records Division. Rebecca Holcomb supervises the Records Division for the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office. The Records Division maintains records for the Sheriff’s Office, supervising the Data Entry Clerks and Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC), maintaining yearly statistics for Sheriff Sisk and handling open records requests among many other duties.
Data Entry Clerks have an important role in the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office. In addition to assisting the public who visit the Sheriff’s Office, our Data Entry Clerks answer incoming phone calls, enter all warrants, citations, civil processes, accident reports, incident reports, and pawn receipts into the in-house computer system. Data Entry Clerks are also responsible for criminal history expungements and firearms (handgun) permits. Data Entry Clerks maintain bond information and disseminate inmate information to the District Attorney’s Office. Data Entry Clerks are responsible for court subpoenas that are turned over to the Uniform Patrol Division (UPD) for service. Contact is essential with outside agencies in reference to transferring inmates from other facilities, working with offices such as Child Support Enforcement, Parole, Probation, Superior Court, Magistrate Court and Probate Court.
The Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) coordinates and maintains all documentation and information relating to the Georgia Crime Information Center for CJIS network related matters. The Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) is responsible for GCIC terminal operator training in the Catoosa County E-911 center, Catoosa County detention facility, and Data Entry Division. The Terminal Agency Coordinator maintains record of certification for each terminal operator and is responsible for by-yearly audits by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The Terminal Agency Coordinator also enters warrants into the GCIC/NCIC (Georgia Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center) and maintains their validations.
Visitors to the Sheriff’s Office are greeted by Data Entry personnel who assist in meeting the needs of the visitor. Here, civilians can obtain copies of reports, (incident reports, accident reports), apply for criminal history background information, obtain expungement packets, submit firearms applications obtained from the probate court, speak with a deputy and/or supervisor about a specific matter, or speak with Sheriff Sisk himself. The Sheriff’s Office lobby is open 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. After hours or on the weekend, an intercom is located on the reception counter for direct contact with the Jail Control Room.

Frequently Asked Questions for the Records Division
How can I obtain a criminal history?
You must be a Catoosa County resident with a valid Catoosa Georgia driver’s license. If you do not have a valid Georgia driver’s license from Catoosa County you must show proof of residence. You will fill out a criminal history form and pay $10 exact change. You will be able to pick up your history in 24 hours. No one can pick up a history except for the person requesting a history.
How can I obtain a firearm permit?
A firearm permit must be applied for at the Catoosa County Probate Office located in the courthouse. You will be required to fill out an application and pay a fee for the permit. The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office will fingerprint individuals from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with no charge. How can I expunge an arrest?
If you were arrested before July 2013 you can fill out an expungement form (page 1) at the sheriff’s office. You will need to bring your disposition from the court along with $25 exact change. The sheriff’s office will fill out their portion (page 2) and send the expungement package to the district attorney’s office for approval or denial. You will be notified by phone if the expungement has been approved and given instructions for the next step. This may take 3–5 business days. If you were arrested after July 2013 you will need to speak with the district attorneys office.
Who can be fingerprinted and for what?
The sheriff’s office personnel will fingerprint Catoosa residents only, free of charge. If you need fingerprinting for nursing, insurance etc, you must show a Catoosa Georgia driver’s license. If you are in need of a full back ground check and fingerprints you will need to visit the G.A.P.S. website at www.ga.cogentid.com.
How do I file for an open records request?
The sheriff’s office can provide you with an open records request form that will need to be filled out completely and given to the personnel. You will need to provide any and all information that will help the secretaries pull your request. All open records requests will be answered within three business days. On approval or denial by the major or sheriff, you will be notified that your request is ready and a fee may be applied.
How can I obtain a temporary protective order (TPO)?
