WEDNESDAY, JAN. 17

COUNTY ROAD 1637 — Complainant stated a known person dumped garbage in the middle of their driveway on purpose. Complainant showed deputy video evidence to which the suspect was intentional in dumping a toilet seat and bowl, along with an RV awning. Charges will be filed accordingly. Suspect has active warrants out of this county.

MONDAY, JAN. 15

PRIVATE ROAD 4209 — Third party caller reported he believed his mother was in an altercation with her boyfriend. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered the disturbance to be verbal only. While on scene one of the parties involved was found to have active warrants out of Denton and Mills County. Both counties confirmed on their warrants and the person was placed in custody.

PRIVATE ROAD 4685 — Deputy was contacted by victim of a phone scam. A report was made to document this for credit purposes.

TUESDAY, JAN. 16

PASTURE LANE — Crisis Hotline contacted the sheriff’s office in regards to a person attempting self-harm. The person was voluntarily transported to Medical City Decatur for observation.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 17

COUNTY ROAD 4396 — A woman stated she was inside her residence with her family when she heard loud noises, which she believed to be gunshots coming from inside her residence. Deputies arrived and investigated the situation. Deputies placed two men in custody.

QUAIL CHASE LANE — Complainant stated they were attempting to punish their daughter for vaping in school. The daughter left the residence with her mother’s car. Juvenile was found and returned home to residence.

ALVORD STREET — A man wanted to report he had gotten scammed on Facebook. He sent $5,000 in Apple pay cards to receive $100,000 in a check.

COUNTY ROAD 4396 — Two people recklessly shot into a berm facing two houses across a field from it. The bullets struck the houses.

COUNTY ROAD 3655 — Third party caller advised individuals were stealing property at a friend’s residence. Deputies determined no offense had occurred. All parties were counseled on scene.

COUNTY ROAD 3389 — Complainant advised a man was sending unwanted communication after being warned to stop the messaging. Deputies made scene, conducted an investigation, and filed all pertinent documents. Charges were filed accordingly.

COUNTY ROAD 4292 — A vehicle was left blocking the roadway. Vehicle was towed to WCSO impound.

THURSDAY, JAN. 18

BILLY JO — A woman wanted to document that someone has been using her driver’s license number. She wanted the documentation for DPS purposes.

COUNTY ROAD 4659 — Victim advised her neighbor pulled her hair and assaulted her. Deputy located several illicit drugs on the scene. Deputies collected said narcotics.

QUAIL CHASE LANE — A man reported his daughter had made comments suggesting self-harm. Deputies spoke with the daughter who appeared to be in a healthy state of mind. Deputies mediated a conversation between father and daughter before clearing the call.

COUNTY ROAD 4659 — Deputies were dispatched to the above address after a landowner heard two of his female tenants fighting. Deputies interviewed all parties on scene and arrested the primary aggressor for Class C assault.

COUNTY ROAD 1260 — A woman stated her father was evicted from the property, but he was still at the residence. Deputies spoke with the man and instructed him to leave the property, which he did. Deputy issued the man a verbal criminal trespass warning and instructed him to stay away from the residence.

FARM ROAD 51 SOUTH — A man advised several items were stolen from his property. Complainant advised he wished to pursue charges. Deputy filed all pertinent paperwork.

PRIVATE ROAD 3665 — Deputies responded to a report of shots fired and learned upon arrival that it was a false report. The caller was identified and found in possession of narcotics. The person was arrested and charges were filed accordingly.

WEST KENTUCKY — Deputies met with complainant who had blood on her left forearm. She stated she was assaulted by her friend/person she cares for. After an investigation, deputies placed the suspect in custody. Charges were filed for assault causing bodily injury family member.

NORTH WICKHAM STREET — Complainant stated two circular saws were stolen from inside their house. Both doors were broke open in the commission of the theft.

FRIDAY, JAN. 19

COUNTY ROAD 1749 — Deputies responded to a welfare concern for a woman actively cutting herself with a box cutter. Upon arrival the woman in question entered a truck and ran from deputies. Concerned for her welfare and the public’s safety, deputies pursued the vehicle. After a long pursuit, deputies deployed spike strips and safely ended the pursuit. The woman was placed into custody and was awaiting a mental health evaluation.

FARM ROAD 2264 — Complainant advised they were repairing a water line and were yelled at by a customer who told them to get off his property. Complainant advised the customer raised his jacket up and showed them a gun. Complainant wished to document the incident but not pursue charges.

COUNTY ROAD 3737 — Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress and made contact with both neighboring parties. An argument began earlier in the day due to loud music and the use of a bullhorn. The complainant stated his neighbor jumped his fence and threw an object at his vehicle causing damage. Both parties were told to stay away from each other’s properties. Deputies spoke to the neighbors who were reported to have thrown the objects at the vehicle who were intoxicated and very confrontational. Deputies collected statements for an offense report.

COUNTY ROAD 4730 — A major accident was reported with the driver attempting to flee. Once on scene the deputy was advised the driver fled into the woods near the accident. As the deputy began investigating the scene, a woman arrived and stated she was the driver’s girlfriend. She advised she would take the deputy to where the male driver was waiting for her to pick him up. The deputy followed the woman and made contact with the man. The deputy and an additional officer from a nearby city detained the man. The deputy returned to the accident scene with the driver where a trooper administered field sobriety tests. The driver was placed into custody by the trooper and transported to the Wise County Jail.

SATURDAY, JAN. 20

PRIVATE ROAD 4437 — Complainant reported a known woman was possibly inside a residence that was up for sale. The woman was located inside the residence, however it was determined she has not yet been evicted from the property.

COUNTY ROAD 1260 — A known man who had received a criminal trespass warning from the property was found to be on the property. He was taken to jail.

COUNTY ROAD 4863 — A woman reported she received a concerning text message from her daughter stating her husband was acting strange and possibly threatening her daughter. Deputies arrived on scene and did not get an answer at the door. After knocking on the doors and windows numerous times the daughter eventually answered the door. She informed deputies she was fine. Deputies spoke with the husband who stated his wife was possibly going through postpartum depression.

DABNEY COURT — Complainant reported someone had damaged her fence and left a racially motivated note.

COUNTY ROAD 4783 — A woman reported her ex-husband did not drop off their kids at her house this weekend and requested a welfare check on the children. Deputies arrived on scene and verified the children were there and okay. While on scene, the father was found to have an active warrant out of Wise County. The father was placed in custody and transported to the county jail while the complainant arrived and took possession of the children.

MEDICAL CENTER DRIVE — Complainant brought her roommate to the emergency room because he was highly intoxicated. She told the deputy the roommate took his own cat and started to beat and strangle the cat. The suspect was evaluated by MHMR personnel. Deputies conducted an investigation and will be filing charges for animal cruelty to non livestock.
